Fair, contextual and attributable
Reviewers apply the published rule in context and record the evidence, reason, actor and time. Ordinary disagreement, criticism and negative surf opinions are not abuse. Protected owner and authorised administrators oversee serious or disputed decisions.
Enforcement ladder
- Guidance for minor or likely accidental issues.
- Formal warning for a clear breach.
- Temporary content restriction for repeated or disruptive conduct.
- Temporary suspension for serious or repeated harm.
- Permanent ban for severe conduct, persistent evasion or risk that cannot reasonably be managed.
Role of AI
AI can check files, identify supported risk signals, assess surf relevance and prioritise queues. It does not invent evidence, automatically ban an account or replace human judgment in uncertain and serious cases. High-risk material remains quarantined.
Decision record
- Rule code and plain-English reason.
- Evidence reference and acting moderator or administrator.
- Duration, timestamp and appeal availability.
- Separate AI findings and human decision.
Appeals
Submit an appeal with relevant context through the in-product workflow. Surf Track Pro aims to acknowledge appeals within seven days during development and to use a different authorised reviewer where practicable. Outcomes may uphold, vary or overturn a decision. Emergency or legal preservation may delay disclosure of sensitive evidence.
