Surf Track Pro legal
Content and Photo Submission Rules
Rules for accurate, lawful and privacy-respecting surf reports, photos and competition entries.
Pre-launch legal review required. This tailored draft is operational guidance, not legal advice or a claim of solicitor approval.
Make it relevant and accurate
- Submit to the correct break and identify the capture date when presented as current.
- Do not present synthetic, materially edited, old or unrelated imagery as live conditions.
- Label AI-generated or materially edited content.
- Do not fabricate wave size, wind, crowd or access observations.
Respect people and privacy
- Obtain permission where an identifiable person is the primary subject, especially in private or sensitive circumstances.
- Exercise extra care with children; a parent or guardian should submit or approve identifiable child-focused content.
- Do not upload private documents, addresses, messages, number plates or contact details unless necessary, lawful and consented.
- Surf Track Pro may remove metadata, crop or create a sanitised derivative before review or publication.
Own it or have permission
Only submit material you created or are authorised to use. Music, logos, screenshots and professional photographs can be protected even when found online. Provide evidence of permission if asked.
Screening and review
Files remain private while security and content checks run. Confidently low-risk, surf-related and nominated-break-consistent images may be approved automatically under the configured policy. Uncertain, higher-risk or unavailable screening is held for human review. Illegal or exploitative material is quarantined and access restricted.
